this silly fairy tale has me back in a store working a register. I'm pretending to do something as I hear this Japanese couple(mind you I've been binge watching anime) off to my right slightly behind me. The man was not being very kinda to his spouse. he was saying things like 'hurry up stupid', 'you're such a b***h', while smacking her and shoving her around. Well, I didn't take kindly to that(neither would I if was opposite roles). I turned around, and was speaking to him..in Japanese(which I only know very minuscule basics), telling him how he should act better. That his wife chose to abandon her family for him and that merits some respect and scolded him some more letting him know how much of a dirtbag he was. The female came in between us and slapped me as he went to retort to mind my own business. Even in my sleep in could feel the sting of it. I looked up at him, and said, 'you treat her like she's trash yet here she is defending you still'. I then turned my gaze to her and she took a couple quick steps back. 'i'm sorry' i said, 'it wasn't my place to say that much to him. and for that, i apologize'(all in Japanese while shoppers stared out of curiosity as to what was going on).
*change*
I and the mother unit were sitting on a train. I looked out the window, and it almost seemed like we were crossing a mix of a countryside and a desert. There was a Japanese lady across from mama, and next to mama, was an older Japanese man. he was trying to speak to mom but she couldn't understand him. I relayed the first message, and my mom smiled. He said something else, it was slightly inaudible. I went to speak to him, but my voice just wouldn't work. The lady across from mama gently touched my hand. 'i can translate for you if you'd like' she said with a gentle smile. I slightly smiled and nodded my head. Mama looked at me still for translations, but I just couldn't speak for the gentleman. But the lady could. (this parts might seem a little confusing) I could no longer understand or speak to the man. The lady could speak to me and the man for translation purposes, and I could only speak to my mom and the lady. It's like somehow I lost how to translate but not really? I would get feelings about what he was saying, but I just couldn't open my mouth to speak. eventually, it got difficult to even speak to the lady. difficult, but manageable. I don't remember the conversation, due to me being stressed and shocked that all of a sudden I could no longer understand almost anything anyone was saying. even my own mother's words started to become muffled.
